         As we move through life, we naturally have questions, doubts, and fears, and so many of us have been encouraged to go to another person for answers.   But how often are we given the support and validation to trust ourselves and access our own inner guidance?  It's in each of us.   Perhaps you've glimpsed that sense of inner knowing in a yoga class, on a walk in the woods, or in the quiet of a sunrise.          
         
Through all of our experiences in life, our bodies have been there, responding to our thoughts and emotions.   For example, it may be easy to see how the muscles in your shoulders and neck have become tight through weeks of work-related stress.  There may be other life situations that have caused areas of imbalance in your body that are not as obvious.   In Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, assisted yoga postures can bring attention to these areas of imbalance, allowing the opportunity to explore through a non-directive dialogue process.  The practitioner doesn't offer advice, a solution, or a diagnosis.  The process is client-centered.

         
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy provides a safe and non-judgmental space for self-exploration and reflection, from the level of the body.   No experience of yoga is necessary.  

         Each session is tailored to the needs of the individual, to his or her body and life situation.   It's the client's experience that guides the pace and flow of the session.


What does a typical session look like? 

         The session begins with a guided centering, to transition from day-to-day life.  
          Assisted yoga postures are then used to bring awareness and attention into the body and into the present.  Non-directive dialogue creates the opportunity to share and explore patterns of thought, emotion, and life situations.
           The session ends with a process of integration and ultimately, an action step, a tangible way to bring the exploration and learning of the session out into day-to-day life.
